Second Chance

There are countless stories of those who, for a variety of reasons, had a motorcycle and ended up selling it. Whether it’s because you were a father or a mother, for financial reasons, for relocating to a country where riding a motorbike would only be for a short period of time (safety reasons due to cold or snow/ice), anyway… I do not include here anyone who, unfortunately, has had an accident of any kind that prevents them from doing so.

But speaking on my own experience, once a motorcyclist, always a motorcyclist! The feeling stays, the memories speak and the longing for that unique experience begins to make itself felt.

I went through this process when, for one of the reasons identified above, I had to be without a motorcycle for around a year and a half. We (my wife and I) mostly travel and go on vacation on motorbike.

During these approximately 18 months, we even rented a motorbike for two weekends, so we could go and enjoy ourselves and catch up.

But then came the opportunity to have a motorcycle again! So, we asked ourselves, why not? The pleasure it gave us and the good it did for us were more than enough reasons for us to make the decision.

I sometimes came across some people who, a few years after selling their motorcycle, reached a point in their lives where they could even think about it again. In the vast majority, they are people who sold their motorcycle when they had children and then, obviously, the car was the choice. Meanwhile, children grow up, gain wings, and fly towards their future.

At this point, parents often do a “reset” and the feelings and memories of motorcycle rides return. However, many say that the time for riding a motorbike is over, that now that they are older it is no longer suitable… WHY?

It’s true that everything has a time in life. But that’s exactly why there are several easons and ways to be a Motorcyclist.

The secret may once again be in the right choice of the bike that will best suit us. Shorter or longer trips, more difficulty in holding the motorcycle still or when maneuvering, will it be solo or as a couple.

It’s never too late to enjoy the pleasure of riding a motorcycle again, even if, perhaps, in different ways (or not).

You know, sometimes in the rush of everyday life, we forget something very important: life is short, and if we don’t live it, no one will live it for us!

Enjoy your ride and BE HAPPY
